1. What is it?  Mortar and Pestle "or Molcajete" is a stone tool used for grinding various food products such as spices and herbs or medication and even make-up.
2. How well does it work? very well 
3. Some things you should know:  I love to cook so I love to grind peppercorns, mustard seeds, cloves, etc.  I also like to make rosemary infused olive oil.  I also use it to grind meds for my younger child to mix with chocolate milk or applesauce, Additionally, I grind hard make-up like blush and mix my own colors.   I have many m&p's in many sizes and price ranges...and I love them all.
4. Warranty?  n/a
5. Notes: It is also used to make traditional pesto and aioli sauces. This mortar is very thick and heavy so it won't move around while using it and it is very durable.
